Panel Session: Standardisation for Trustworthiness in AI: a sector perspective on how to deliver trustworthy AI

SUMMARY

This session, chaired by BSI, will feature panellists from across a number of sectors and perspectives to provide insight into how trustworthy AI can be implemented.

As the UK’s National Standards Body, BSI is responsible independently for bringing together UK stakeholders to develop multi-stakeholder consensus driven standards that capture what good practice looks like. By bringing together stakeholders from across healthcare, manufacturing and consumer products we will explore what trust means to their sector and the safeguards they think will be required as AI technologies become more prevalent.

We know that delivering trustworthy AI is a key pillar of Scotland’s AI strategy. In this panel discussion we will explore what is needed to deliver trust within industry and across society; what are the challenges and opportunities for Scotland to be a thought-leader in delivering trustworthiness; and how multi-stakeholder standards can help provide the framework required for implementing trustworthy AI.
