STAGE D

The Alan Turing Institute and Children’s Parliament in collaboration with Scottish AI Alliance, have been engaging primary school children (aged 9 – 11) across Scotland to explore their knowledge, understanding and current perceptions of AI.

In this half hour session run by Members of Children's Parliament (The AI Team) and The Alan Turing Institute, delegates will be introduced to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and how this relates to AI.

Through a fun and interactive activity we will discuss the children's human rights implications of the ways in which AI systems are designed, developed and deployed.

Attendees will be invited to reflect on their own fields to consider what changes could be made to support all children across Scotland to be happy, healthy and safe.
